YOGA AND MINDFULNESS Both yoga and mindfulness support a greater level of connection, awareness or union between the mind, body and spirit; to cultivate a deeper connection to and understanding of the self and our relationship with our external environment. Yoga Yoga is a diverse set of practices that aim to still the chatter of the mind. Not just a physical postural practice, yoga is breathwork, meditation and philosophical teachings. Our day retreat practices will focus on poses and breathwork to cultivate balance and connection. Mindfulness Mindfulness is best considered as a way of being rather than a technique. It’s a way of being in the present moment; a way of being in relationship to our experience, both inner and outer, with the possibility of cultivating attitudes of kindness, curiosity and discernment. Our day will offer support in establishing a meditation posture, guided sitting practices and a guided body scan practice. There will also be a brief opportunity to share experience if you would like to. YOUR HOSTS Pamela Duckerin Pamela has had her own mindfulness practice since 1996 and is a mindfulness-based teacher, trainer and supervisor with the Mindfulness Network and the Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice. Sarah Hunt Sarah has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years and teaching since 2017. She strives to create an enviroment for yoga which is encouraging and playful without pressure or expectation. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations with more than 7 days notice refunded in full.
